"Avatar" 5 out of 5 stars

Friday David and I were both off work, due to some overtime from last year. We did something we haven't done for sooooooooooooo long- went out to movies, lunch and shopping- just TWO of us!
We saw "Avatar" and it exceeded all our expectations. Fantastic 3D experience, graphics and the story.
If you haven't seen it yet- it's definitely a must see.

Merry Christmas and happy new year

Here's a bit about our Christmas holidays. This year we both took 10 days off over Christmas and New Year- a rear thing for us because my (Katya's) patients don't always have Christmas vocations... My employer must have been in a good mood to let me take the whole period off. We went to spend this Christmas with David's brother Stephen, Heidi and their two boys Joshua and Matthew.
Staying inside away from cold winter weather that hit England as well, we all had a fantastic time. Elizabeth really got to know her big cousins- was following them everywhere and was interested in all they did (especially when they were playing Nintendo DS and Wii). Josh and Mattie took a good care of her. When Elizabeth gave them a big hug at the end- must be because she wanted to stay longer :)
We haven't seen Stephen and Heidi since our wedding in 2006, so it was great to catch up on each others lives and see boys grown so much. Looking forward to see you all in Denmark!!!
Here are some of the highlights in photos.

Making cookies and ginger bread house- Farr boys and Grimshaw girls are very creative!

Hanging out together... for Elizabeth everything at the moment is a mobile phone- even a Wii remote.

"I've got so many presents this Christmas- thank you everyone! But I prefer to play with Mummy's shower cream bottles..."

Winter in Denmark

This year it was really white Christmas in Denmark. The snow fell just before Christmas, about 8 cm. The temperature has been more or less below zero since. Despite hard work of cleaning the snow around the house every day (otherwise they can sue you for injuries outside your property!), it is actually very nice outside- snow and sunshine, and moon light at night.... romantic...
